Should I buy a Wifi dongle (mobile wifi) for cruising?

We cruised up there a few months ago and the only days we didn't get a mobile signal from land was while we were sailing up and down the North Sea. Unless you need a constant connection, particularly at night, I would just rely on picking up a signal from whichever country you are passing by, or obviously, while you are in port. Generally, if you can see land then you have a good chance of picking up a signal.Theresonly1 said:

northen europe
Just be aware that not all providers include Norway in their EU roaming package (as they aren't in the EU). O2 do but quite a few providers exclude them so check before you sail. Your phone will tell you who you are connected to in their "Welcome To" message.
If you want free WiFi in port just follow the crew.1 -
MSC Southampton staying in northern Europe just Ireland.
EU Data roaming option will work.
That 4 day you get data connection for a lot of time when not in the bar eating and sleeping.
Or you could turn your phone off for such a short time.
You don't pay for the WiFi in your home you pay for the internet connection.
Same on the ships.
