Cheap replacement lampshades?

Hello all,

During my tenancy I broke two ceiling lampshades from my two bedrooms. I would need to replace them, but not with something identical necessarily but something that fits. Does anyone have an idea of a cheap option where I don't have to pay £20+ for each one, and how to find one that fits? Thank you!

I'm sorry, but my imagination is just running wild!
  • B&M bargains - landlord special lampshades. Although they cannot be swung from.

Its hard to find something similar that fits without knowing what the original is and its size
Ikea sell paper shades for £1.75 assuming its a pendant fitting..
  • If it's a standard pendant fitting then there are millions of shades to choose from.  Places like B&M, Poundland, The Range will have loads.  You could even have a rummage around in charity shops.

Draw around the metal bit that fits over the light fitting and put the bit of paper in your purse.
Then when you are looking you can check the size.

Post covid we have nowhere for 60mile round trip that sells shades but I've done well with charity shops.
If you need a matching pair though it's probably new. Some small hardware shops do them but you can probably find cheaper.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
