Contact the solicitor to check it was actually registered.
Check with land registry if there is an application, it does take some time there is a backlog but a whole year.

We had we had a similar issue on our purchase. If the paperwork is in order, then the solicitor can apply for Land Registry to expedite the registration and it would take about 2 weeks.
Firstly contact the original solicitor who should have registered the purchase. Once they submit the paperwork they or the new solicitor can apply to have it expedited. This needs to be done separately, as LR don’t see it if done at the same time.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Agree with the above. I've not long received confirmation on my purchase of mid June 2021. Roughly 14 months after the sale completed.1

Hi i bought an old house 8 months ago but my issue is that my solicitor is not changing the ownership. There is a mortgage on this house. He doesn't have an office he had one and is closed down. He leaves locally and he just keep lying to me i will do it and no thing have been happen. I have a few texts from his mobile number that saying i will do it tomorrow but no thing.
I have contact the Revenue and the Land registration about this there is no stamp duty been filet or application pending with Land Registration.
I made a complaint since May to the ( LSRA ) Law Society and they came with a letter that say he is not responding to us and we do not have a colocation for him.
I made an Authority to transfer the file to another solicitor but no respond from him too.
He is not responding to the lender too.
Is there any one who have same situation can you please advise me what should I do?

You should see a bright red circle with a + inside it hovering on the screen. It’s bottom right on my tablet, but maybe somewhere else on other devices. If you click on that you can start your own thread. It is easier for everyone if each thread only contains one conversation.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
