Parking Eye DCBL - CCJ not registered

Hi,

After some advice, so received 2 letters this month from DCBL stating I have a CCJ in my name for the amount of £267 for a parking ticket issued by ParkingEye Ltd.

It also states a judgement date.

I knew nothing of this until this month when I received these letters so I contacted the courts who confirmed the case number but then said the amount is wrong and judgement date is wrong so wouldn't go further into it with me.

I have been told be the registry that Parkingeye did get a CCJ but was rejected it to the register for some reason hence it not showing on my file back in 2020 and they have heard nothing since. They gave the correct amount which is the standard figure.

I have no idea where it is from or what it is for but I ofcourse don't want it showing on register.

Any suggestions how to handle this as DCBL have got the date and amount wrong, not registered by parking eye.

Tia

Just ignore DCB Ltd because these letters sent for ParkingEye are merely scare tactics.

As it's under £600 bailiffs will not get involved and HCEO cannot.  No-one will come knocking. Nothing will happen and if it's not registered it's not affecting you.  Nothing will change.

If you never received any PCN at all then that will be because you left your V5C logbook registered to an old address.  So the only action needed is to update that if you still own the car, and learn the lesson in future, always to update your V5C (not just driving licence) as that is the DVLA address used for PCNs, speeding tickets etc., none of which is a good thing to miss by post going to an old address.

In short: IGNORE IN YOUR CASE.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
