See if it comes out to £2,400.We don't have gas so I only have their electricity price and for what it's worth that comes out £4.00 per year less than the figure from MSE Energy price cap calculator. That's for Octopus's estimate of our annual consumption.1

Electric SC 49.860/UR 33.708
Gas SC 32.167/UR 10.404
For reference, the DD prices for my region are:
Electric SC 45.77/UR 32.97
Gas SC 28.49/UR 10.19

Can someone who pays by DD and is on Flexible Octopus dual fuel kindly post new rates mentioning Region ????Qyburn said:bristolleedsfan said:I would also be interested to see how £100 cheaper than EPG adds upMaybe someone who's been given Octopus prices for both Gas and Electricity, could do the calculation for whatever the "average" usage of each is supposed to be. I'm on Flexible Octopus, don't pay by DD but for my region Eastern, the new rates are given as:
Gas Unit Rate 10.29
Standing Charge 28.49
Elec Unit Rate 35.07
Standing Charge 38.94
The rates I have been quoted are:
Gas Unit Rate 10.476
Standing Charge 32.167
Elec Unit Rate 35.747
Standing Charge 42.66
Don't know if this helps.1 -
Those rates are the same as published by MSE for region, they are giving 4% off standing charges which for dual fuel amounts to about 3p per day/ £10.95 per year.LindsayT said:I'm on Flexible Octopus, don't pay by DD but for my region Eastern, the new rates are given as:

Unit rates might be a little lower, I am very keen to see how they add up to stated to be over £100 cheaper than Government guarantee for typical home - £50 below cap is highest they have ever been and that was iwth less customers on SVR/Flexible Octopus.

Standing Charge 38.94Have a look at the rates LindsayT has been quoted though...Those are above the DD cap for Eastern, but well below the cap for a credit account...It does look like Octopus have set a credit version of the tariff for the SVT, and yes it is well over £100 below the cap...

The first set of figures I posted were from the MSE site.
Both sets of figures include VAT.
So will I get a reduction on the prices quoted in my email if I now pay by DD?1 -
