A lot of people seem to have forgotten that the X factor isn't a contest about who's got the best voice. it's about that all important X Factor. Rhydian has a great voice - no denying it but every song sounds like opera and he didn't show much character when he sang. He didn't get the audience involved.

Leon has a good voice - not as good as Rhydian's but he involved the audience by seeming more natural.

I'm sure that for every one who couldn't vote for Rhydian, there was someone else who couldn't vote for Leon.

Actually I liked beverly the best of all the artists.
I didnt bother taking any notice of any of the sob stories.
I think louie walsh ruined his teams chances by being so derogatory about some of the other singers. People will use any chance they get to penalise a personality they dont agree with even if it means voting off his artists.
Cowell already knew rhydian had not won, remember he called him Leon and then said it was freudian,indicating that he had been thinking about Leon when he began to talk. He more or less commiserated with him for losing out and the votes had not even finished at that point.
I do agree with the poster who stated that the non winners will have a freer time of making their names than the winner though.

Only the tone deaf could say that Leon has a good voice, he was constantly out of tune and 'helped' to win by the Kylie Minogue duet. He is not cute looking but has the appearance of a twelve year old. I predicted that Michelle McManus would win in a past competition because she was scottish and the same for Leon, I am not sure why this is but I have watched the results of several phone in competitions and scottish entrants feature more often than other parts of the UK. Well done Rhydian for acknowledging the expense of phoning in and for not relying on a sob story - and I agree with the poster who said that Simon Cowells comments before the count was in suggested that Rhydian deserved to win but wasn't going to - I screamed 'fix' and knew that SC new the result (before the lines had closed!!!). Good luck for the future Rhydian, I will be buying your CD's as soon as you release them.

It's amazing the number of people here who say Leon's voice is poor.

Are there so many musical experts on here that are more knowledgable than the four judges? If so how come you're on here trying to save money and not signing multi million pound record deals with up and coming talent you've unearthed?

If the Scottish vote counts for so much then shouldn't Kenny Logan have done better in Strictly Come Dancing? And shouldn't the McDonald Bros have done better in X - factor last year?

Us Scottish may be patriotic but I would think the size of the voting population of England and Wales combined v. Scotland alone should mean that this alone could not affect the final result.

Does this mean that when the someone Scottish wins something via a tele vote then it's because of the 'Scottish vote' rather than talent??? I didn't vote for Michelle Mcmanus but she was certainly better than the poor excuse for talent - Mark i believe his name was( who has done nothing musically since) - that she was up against.

Simon Cowell said on several occasions that Leon was out of tune but of the three he was left with he would have to acknowledge that Leon is the one he will make money out of because all the kiddies will scream over him and buy the CD's, the more musically discerning adults will follow Rhydian but they are not the major CD buyers.

I just can't see the screaming teens actually handing over money for a middle of the road crooner. Not more than once, anyway.

Simon Cowell also said that Same Difference would be able to win the competition.
Even he sometimes gets it wrong.

Too many people can't seperate not liking from not good. I don't like Bjork but she has an amazing voice.

I voted for Nikki several times mainly because she lives in our villiage. And she was preety good on the old Titanic song. When she was out I voted for Rhydian because I thought he was the best of the rest, and to cancel out my DD vote for Leon.
