I think if I was in Leon's position then I would have cried too, it meant so much to him. Maybe if Rhydian had shown a bit of emotion the results may have been different. As Sharon Osbourne pointed out in an earlier show, he just didn't show any of his personality, which may have put some people off of him.
As for all the nonsense about the votes being rigged etc for Leon. I voted for him twice. Each time I had to try nearly 20 times before I eventually got through, either didn't hear anything or got that annoying woman telling me the lines were busy.
And as for Welsh radio stations banning Leon's single, how petty!
Would the Scots have done that if Rhydian had won, I don't think so.
O.k so the best singer didn't win but i'm sure he'll still do well in his career, and I wish him all the best!0 -
i think you should all get out more0

I read somewhere that Rhydian has been signed up by Simon Cowell and has been in talks with Andrew Lloyd Webber about participating in West End shows such as Phantom.
Leon was hyped up from the start - he can't sing either because at the final he was consistently out of tune. At least he won't be around for long.
I want to know what is wrong with telling the viewers exactly how many votes had been received for each act? All we heard on Sunday is that there was only 1% difference been Leon and Rhydian - 1% of what?
Does anyone remember David Sneddon who won Fame Academy, he produced one album and disappeared into inobscurity yet the chap who came second - Lemar has produced several albums.
As for me, I shall be buying Rhydian's albums because he has a fine voice and can actually sing in tune just like the guys in Il Divo who are all classically trained. Leon - well, he needs to learn to sing:rolleyes: .0 -
I wouldn't buy anything from anyone who's been involved in those "reality" shows, not a single one of them has any real talent.Winnings

Could it be that Rhydian lost because too many people tried to vote for him but couldn't get through on the phones? ie He had too many fans clogging up the phone lines and, in this case, he probably would have won if they had got through!
There should be sufficient lines to cater for all the people who wanted to vote. It seems to me that if X Factor cannot provide sources for everyones vote to be counted, then X Factor cannot provide a realistic and fair competition.
rydian is right as in its to expensive 10 p would make it easier for more to vote. i wanted leon to win not because im scottish but because i didnt want the other two contestants to win didnt like either of them singing..
and why every year of a talent contest does the losers fans always say they couldnt get through on the phone lines.. Im sure leons fans had the same hassles just not bleating on about itThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,

Leon was terrible; singing with the little minogue person probably won him the "contest". Rhydian managed to make each track sound the same and sang in the same vein as Paul Potts (who is incidentally, brilliant). Rhydian Crucified Bridge Over....... The winner should have been Nikki, how she was voted off in the semis is beyond me, unless of course, the judges wanted Leon to win from the start. I don't think the cost of the vote comes into it. If you think it's expensive, you don't vote. I'm sure all the performers over the series would have lost votes because of this.0

I feel I must speek up for those of us who voted for Leon (Incidentally, I'm not Scottish). The line was busy when I tried to to vote also and it took me many attempts to get through. I believe that Leon was the true talent of the competition. I've believed that since the auditions. It's been a long time since we have had a voice in popular music with such natural talent and that has that beautiful timber. Leon is new to singing and does not benefit from the years of song lessons (and ego) of Rhydian.
Leon did not make it due to a sob story. Time will tell and he will improve hugely over the coming months (like Leona has). The one person who tried to benefit from a sob story was Nikki, who tried to convince people that they should vote for her, as she had no other options left and reminded everyone of her loss at every oppurtunity.0 -

You probably think Cathy Dennis was a bit of a fad too. Wrong. So far she's written 6 British number ones (including tracks for the Sugababes)
What about BA Robertson - you reckon he disappeared after "Bang Bang" don't you? Who do you think wrote "Living Years" for Mike & The Mechanics?
There are numerous artists who make a very good living without necessarily being famous so just because you haven't heard of someone for a while, doesn't make them rubbish as you imply with David Sneddon.

I'm a bit bored with all the 'I couldn't get though to vote for Rhydian so it must be a fix' c**p. I tried several times to get through to vote for Leon and couldn't. Obviously since Leon won I 'm not complaining to Ofcom about it.
Although I did think Rhydian has the best voice in the competition, I just didn't warm to him. Think many people probably felt the same and that's why he didn't win. Let's face it, there was no amazing 'find' this year like Leona was. Both Leon and Rhydian will have their 5 mins and that'll be it.
As for Rhydian's 'I know it's expensive to vote' line, I just thought it was a bit contrived and self serving. Sorry!1.Virgin CC: [STRIKE]£9432.00[/STRIKE] £10290.00
