What on earth were you doing for seven minutes ???
Had a young lady stay last weekend (potential new lodger), and she took just four minutes in the shower. Myself, I'm usually around 3-4 minutes.

It depends on your hair!  It takes way longer than 4 min to just to rinse the soap and conditioner out.  I could run the shower faster but that would mean wasting more water / gas I think.  Water hardness may also be a factor - ours is very soft which means more bubbles.
Pixie cut or a buff & polish - Minimal hair to wash then.

Her courage will change the world.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

Ours is an 8Kw electric shower so 45 minutes would be about £2 in electric. Multiply that by 30 days and its £60 a month for one person to have one shower a day.

45 minutes in the shower is ludicrous, I would be having polite words personally.

An 8Kw shower won't necessarily draw 8Kw, it depends on temperature and water volume, if you have PV or thermal  heating etc.

You can't tell an adult how wash themselves.  The rent you charge has to cover the worst eventuality of use on services.
