The energy rebate

I’m in process of selling my property. Does anyone know if move out and live with friend temporarily until I find a new property, let’s say November if I still will continue to recieve the energy rebate as paid in 6 monthly payments from October. Thanks in advance

If you pay the bills for that month then yes you will get the monthly amount (£66/67 pm). If you don't then you wont.

The rebate goes onto all electric accounts (or electric PAYG meters etc). I assume when you move out and stay with your friend he/she will already have an account, and as such he/she will get the rebate and you will miss out as you will have no electric account.

You will get the monthly payment if you have a domestic electricity account, so you would miss the payment for October, but depending if you have an account again in November you should get that payment...

... but I've not seen any details on how they are going to handle partial months...
