TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Planet Rock – Spotlight September 2022 – Terms & Conditions” (the “Competition”).

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

 

 

1.Entry ROUTES and Costs	Entries are restricted to one entry per person.   Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:   (A)    Online at https://planetradio.co.uk/planet-rock/   Online entry is free of charge.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	Breakfast Promotion Competition Mechanic Listeners must go online to https://planetradio.co.uk/planet-rock/, to win thanks Wickes TradePro and Planet Rock. To be eligible to win, entrants must and tell us the following details:     Their Full name and Contact Details Nominate themselves if they are a ‘Tradesperson’ or a ‘Tradesperson’ they know who deserves to win £1,000 cash. The entry must include the first name of themselves or the person they are nominating, what they or the person they are nominating does in the trade, and then tell us why they or the person they are nominating should win.   Entries will be judged on how entertaining, compelling, heart-warming and how deserving the entry is. All entries will be judged by the Planet Rock production team, the production manager, and an independent judge. A winner will be selected from all entries after they have gone through the judging process.   We will be shortlisting entries from the opening of the competition on 12/09/2022 at 00.01 until the close of the competition online entry period on 05/10/2022 at 09.00. Once a person has entered, their entry will be eligible to be selected for shortlisting at any point up until the close of the competition.   On shortlisting, we will require the nominators to coherently explain their entry and discuss their nomination with the member of the production team. The entry must be compelling and match the entry that was entered online. The nominators will need to explain in detail the reason why they or the person they are nominating deserves to win the prize. Being called during the entry period does not mean that the nominator or nominee has won, and they will only win once being told they are the winner by the production team after the nomination period closes.   There will be four winners of the competition. If the winner is selected from an entry who nominated themselves then they will be deemed the winner and will win the prize. If the winner is selected from an entry who nominated someone, they knew the person that they nominated will win the prize.   A winning nomination will be announced on the Planet Rock Breakfast Show each Friday between 16/09/2022 – 07/10/2022 between 0600 and 1000. Only when announced on-air by the on-air presenters is the nomination deemed the winning nomination.   If the winning entry is an entrant that nominated themselves, they will be called the workday before their win will be announced during the Planet Rock Breakfast each day on the following days:   The 1st winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 3pm on 21/09/2022     The 2nd winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 3pm on 28/09/2022     The 3rd winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 3pm on 05/10/2022     The 4th winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 3pm on 12/10/2022      If the winning entry is a nomination of someone the nominator knows the nominator will be called to inform them their nomination has won. The winning Tradesperson who has been nominated will need to confirm to the nominator, that they are happy for the nominator to share their phone number and email address with Planet Rock who will be organising the event. The winning Tradesperson’s contact details will only be used by Planet Rock to speak to them about their prize.   TradePro Winner The prize winner for the online competition will be selected from those persons who when entering between 20/09/2022 - 16/10/2022 and also selected the tick-box to tell us they are a TradePro member. The TradePro Winner will be chosen on 17/10/2022. The winner will be contacted and asked for proof of their TradePro membership, if the winner cannot provide this another winner will be selected in their place. Only on being a TradePro member can you win this prize.
3. ENTRY PERIOD	Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:   Breakfast Promotion Competition Mechanic   Pre-registration: from 20/09/2022 at 00.01 (Start Date) to 12/10/2022 at 14:30 (End Date).   The on-air portions of this comp will take place between the 23/09/2022 until 14/10/2022, between 6am and 10am. The finalists will be given information of when the exact timings will be ahead of being brought to air.   The winner of the competition will be announced on-air on between 23/09/2022 – 14/10/2022 during the Planet Rock breakfast show.     Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.     TradePro Winner Entry Period   From 20/09/2022 at 00.01 (Start Date) to 16/10/2022 at 23.59 (End Date).   Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.   Winner Announcement. The first name and the hometown of the winner(s) are available by contacting win@bauermedia.co.uk
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.   Both the Nominator and the Nominee must be 18 years or over on the date of entry   Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.   We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.   If you or any other person at your household has won a prize valued at £500 or more on any Bauer brand in the past 6 months, you nor they are not eligible to enter or win this competition. This must be proved by providing some form of ID to Bauer Media that proves the nominee works in the trade (a listing on TradePoint, CheckATrade, TrustMark or any other Tradesperson ranking site will be considered as acceptable proof). This must be provided once a member of the production team emails the nominee after the competition has been broadcast on air.   To be deemed the TradePro winner the person must have a registered TradePro account on entering the competition.
5. THE PRIZE	Breakfast Promotion Competition Mechanic   4 winners will receive the following prize (the “Prize”):   £1,000 cash provided in the form of a cheque or bank transfer   TradePro Winner Entry Period   1 winner will receive the following prize (the “Prize”):   £1,00 cash provided in the form of a cheque or bank transfer   The Prize is provided by Bauer Media (the “Prize Provider”).   Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable   Any changes to the prize draw will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by Bauer Media.

 

OTHER CONDITIONS

 

1. DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to a Prize Provider to arrange delivery of the prize.  Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. For SMS entries you automatically consent to receive marketing. You may opt out at any time by texting the word STOP to the relevant text shortcode number. 1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

1. MISCELLANEOUS.

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.
• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.
• As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.

 

We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
