Is anyone else on an estate heating system with E.ON Heat?  Their "smart" meter seems to have gone dumb (in fairness to them, it's over 11 years old).  Only after receiving a letter saying they want to put my direct debit up to £30* a month did I check my online bills and see that they've estimated my readings for a year...  So I whipped off the heavy heat exchange cover to see the meter reading (IKR, clever place to put it).  Sure enough, the overestimate is 4,222 kwh... However, their website won't let me upload a meter reading, the phone number is out of service, and the online "live chat" opens, then tells me it's not available, the chat has been closed... FRUSTRATION!  :D  I'm hoping I have managed to email them using their online form...  update 21 Sep 22 - was now able to submit meter reading  :)  (*yes, I'm fully aware I should count my lucky stars about such paltry amounts, but my flat is on the fifth floor, just over 11 years old, well insulated, and never drops below 17C, so I've literally never turned the heating on - the only charges are for standing charge and hot water for an hour once every four or five days...)
