I live in a sheltered housing scheme, residents are getting the hang of online shopping, Tesco has changed to a delivery savers to start from 3pm and into the evening.  This is unhelpful to many elderly folk who have their tea at 5pm, then their carer helps them shower and get into bed.  They are being deprived of their freedom to shop at a reasonable time for themselves, as they can't afford the extra money to have their shopping delivered early in the day.  Are any other people effected financially or inconvenienced by the changes Tesco's have made?
I prefer to have my shopping earlier, so I'll be changing supermarkets when my current pass ends. That's about all you can do, they're free to offer whatever delivery deals they like.

Both Sainsbury's and Asda offer midweek passes like the old Tesco one, not sure about Morrisons or Ocado as they aren't in my area. Iceland do free delivery. Lots of other options.

They are inconvenienced but not "deprived of their freedom". They are free to pay more for earlier timeslots.
  • Tescos have been pretty good.
We started online shop start of covid
They,ve been late a couple of times but send email or phone call automated message
Couple of times running late, we rang them and they were good and easy to get hold of
    So phone them
They changed the way they priced delivery slots, and we are on the 7 day anytime slots but they now have a Sun or Mon to thu and restricted times one as well a few quid cheaper on pre-pay.
