  • I love this thread but had lost it! 🤦‍♀️ I'll be joining in from now on as I think it's really motivating to keep looking at the little things I can do to keep me on track...

    This weekend I have:
    Done a food inventory to make sure that I minimise my grocery spends;
    Dehydrated bramley apples (more still to do!) for winter desserts and apple powder for porridge/museli;
    Dehydrated veg to make stock powder
    Done a laundry load and hung it out to dry (weather is a bit ropey though so it may not work!)
    Had a NSD
    Dinner will be from freezer and stores

    Have a fab rest of the weekend! 😁

    DNF: £708.92/£1000
    JSF: £708.58/£1000

    Winter season grocery budget: £600.85/£900

    I am being charged for a student loan I have never taken out. They took it off but now it’s back on.

    Wow, @Chloboshoka_2 hope you manage to get that sorted out soon!
    Up early today as we went to a couple of car boot sales, as we often do. Walked the dog briefly before we went. He won't go for a decent walk that early :D
    Other than that I have:
    Kitchen clean up
    Leftovers for lunch
    Gardening this afternoon. Cut up the waterwood that OH had pruned from the quince tree yesterday, and managed to get all the bits into the compost bins.
    Potted a few leftover pansies and wallflowers and arranged them on the plant stand on the patio :)
    Removed the spent tomato plants. These can't be composted due to blight, which has come on over the last few days. GD helped me pick off the few remaining tomatoes yesterday.
    Treated the strawberry containers with vine weevil nematodes
    Put a few more things away in the garage, which I tidied the other day
    Dinner was sausages, mash and garden veg, with onion gravy.
    It is cold now in the evenings, so we have lit the stove for the first time this season. The dog is delighted.
  • Thanks Dawn. I hope by October’s pay it will be back to normal and then I can be a bit easier with the budget.
