John Lewis CC

What's behind the John Lewis Credit Card provider change.  I've never had a problem with it and more to the point who are NEWDAY?  I've never heard of them and whilst I'm pretty sure John Lewis know what they're doing I'd appreciate a little more knowledge, sadly unavailable from John Lewis's helpdesk.

  • Anyone found that you can't balance transfer from the JL card to a First Direct Credit card? I applied and received FD card. Went to balance transfer and was told that I couldn't balance transfer from JL as it was an HSBC card. I have complained to First Direct and await news. At no point in that application process was it flagged clearly that this would happen.

The JLFS Partnership Card is an HSBC Group card, and thus won't be eligible for balance transfer offers from HSBC, First Direct or M&S Bank.

The NewDay Partnership Card should be eligible to transfers to HSBC Group cards.
