American FF Plumbing Installation question
Hello,
We want to buy an American Fridge Freezer that needs to be plumbed in.
If I place it in the spot marked in pink, will it be easy to plumb? How much roughly would this cost? (Even if its easy, we cannot be trusted to do it ourselves)
Looking at the plan, what are my other options? We have a separate living room so any spot in this whole room pictured is OK.
There is an outside tap underneath the window.
The dishwasher and fridge freezers are integrated.
Do I need to get a plumber in to make the assessment before buying the fridge or is it something I can get someone in for once bought?
Thank You

The section marked in pink is the proposed spot0 -
Personally i think the position in this room looks a little odd - the way it's drawn it looks like a focal point for the lounge seating.
You've got another F/F directly next to it - is this remaining or does the new F/F replace it?1 -

A plumber would find a place under the sink to connect this 1/4- inch hose. The Filter could remain under the sink. Just need a 13A socket to provide power.
The hose could be routed in the kick-space or in a sevice-gap behind other units.1 -
No. It's a small, flexible supply pipe, that can be run pretty much behind anything - and it only has to come from the kitchen sink (or one of the appliances to its right).Wow! Two family sitting rooms AND a dining room AND a study

Don't expect a plumber to carry the 1/4 tube in his/her van. Lay them in from Amazon to avoid delay.
He/she will still have to Tee-off from the cold water mains, but those fittings are available from Screwfix on the same day.1 -
Usually a long plastic tube comes with a fridge - long enough to reach under your sink. You don't need to buy it and a plumber doesn't need to have it in his van. Make sure there is some place under the sink for the filter.

The filters usually either attach to the back of the fridge or, especially newer models, have a place within the fridge.grumbler said:Usually a long plastic tube comes with a fridge - ling enough to reach under your dsink.
