Firefox on Android -- impossible to see open tabs until I do a web search?!

Options
When I re-open Firefox on my Android phone, I see a list of search engines below a URL/search box.

There doesn't seem to be any way to switch to any of the tabs that are already open.  So, I have to do a pointless web search, at which point the "change tab" icon appears.

Am I missing something really obvious...?  There must be some way to switch tabs without having to search for something first...? :-/

Then.. if I type "blah blah blah" into the search box and hit enter, the "change tab" icon appears:

  • try setting the homepage in settings. You can set it to last tab at least on mine

Thanks again, but... I already have that setting enabled. :-/

Oh... I think I've fixed it!  I had (somehow) created an app icon called "Private Firefox" to start Firefox in "private browsing" mode.  But the default "Firefox" app icon correctly opens on the home page, with the "change tab" icon visible, and defaults to "private browsing" mode anyway.

So I just created a shortcut to "Firefox" instead of "Private Firefox" on my home screen, and now it works perfectly.  Yay!
