Returning company car for private use

@Grumpy_chap I understand what you are saying. I have the feeling my employer doesn't know that in my contract there is the sentence "to be supplied with a company car for business and personal use" because he didn't write the contract. Every time we talk it seems he doesn't know. Obviously, if my employer is offering me or a lamborghini or a MG I am happy (maybe less happy with the lambo, due the tax) because my situation will not change, I still have a car to use for personal use. Obviously, I have to read and understand the situation and adapt myself. My question at the beginning, maybe, was not so clear but I was worried my employer could unilaterally change my contract, which seems not possible. I thought this kind of situation was regulated and because I am not British, I was checking if I looked properly around the Internet.
Anyway, I have better idea now what to do and what to expect.
Thank you to everyone

That's correct, the employer cannot simply unilaterally change the contract.1

Every time we talk it seems he doesn't know.***Once he becomes aware then the problem might just go away.

When my BIL's company tried that the question the staff asked was "where are you going to park all these vans at night because we can't take them home as there is nowhere to park them with having to park our own car as well. We could possibly park them a couple of streets away but it is not a very nice area and loads of vans have been broken into and there is nowhere at home to keep all the expensive kit so you will need to ensure they have full security locks fitted". They pretty quickly gave up on that idea and kept the estate cars

Firstly you need to look at your contract of employment and see what it says about vehicles, does it stipulate company car or does it sat company vehicle. If it sat vehicle then you have no recourse other than the personal use if that changes, also remember if you are not allowed personal use then there will be no BIK0

Another point - what does your contract say regarding your normal or base place of work? If they give you a van without any personal use allowance, and your contract says the place of work is Company Address then technically you can't take it home, as commuting is personal use.
