Found a couple I like on Mazda used approved.
In regard to selling my current car, is it most convenient to just do a trade in directly with Mazda  ( part exchange )  if they can offer a decent amount  ?

    WBAC offer is quite low.
Motorway.co.uk is OK but they seem to keep reducing the quote and I dont like how it works ( some sort of bidding thing ) and they have some bad reviews on trustpilot

Using  one of them trade-in style sites could mean going without a car for a few days which is no good.

Most car insurers will let you cover two vehicles for a few days.  Sometimes for no additional charge.

I meant if I traded it in to WBAC or similar before I go and collect my new car I wouldn't have a car until then.

To be fair I think i'll just part ex it with Mazda.
  • Possibly a wise move after all the past and present issues with your Toyota Yaris.
  • Are you sure about the ST Line being 1L? New ones maybe but mine is 2019 and 1.5L turbo petrol, 180 bhp.

Owned almost 3 years and been fine with no problems.

One Ford recall related to the wiring loom around the gearbox which was recalled a second time as it seems the dealer hadn't done it properly so Ford issued a second recall so if considering the Ford, ask about this.

Wouldn't say issues, just some minor annoyances which I have managed to sort out... mainly niggling things which wouldn't bother most people but I like to keep my car in top condition, spent a lot on the car to keep it running nice and it has just passed it's MOT with no issues at all. Not bad for an old car.  Served me very well but time for something sturdier for motorway driving etc.
I'd definitely recommend the Yaris for a first car. Reliable, easy to drive and easy to manoeuvre

You'll probably get a bit more money selling it privately, but there's certainly no more convenient option than driving old car to dealership and new car home.
  • I've found that I get a better price trading the car in at the dealer I'm buying the new car off than a third party like WBAC. This could depend on the dealer though.
