Reapply as a new customer for the Sainsbury's credit card?

Hi,
I currently have a Sainsbury's credit card but the 0% interest free on purchases has now ended. I could do with having this again and as I shop at Sainsbury's anyway, wondered if I could cancel and then sign up for another card and take advantage of the Nectar bonus offer they have when you first have the card.
I'm assuming you'd still be eligible for the new customer benefits as couldn't find anything to the contrary?
Thanks

Really depends on their definition of new, which, like yourself, I have been unable to find on a cursory search of their website.
The only thing they do make clear is "Sainsbury’s Bank Credit Cards are available to new Sainsbury’s Bank Credit Card customers only"
Also, their promotion is for up to 17 months, so there is no guarantee you would get the full period either.
Some other providers do offer clues as to what is deemed a new customer, when previously having held one of their cards, e.g. Amex.
Let's see if others have greater knowledge.0 -

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I'll apply elsewhere then!0

NatWest funnily enough told me on the app chat, that after I closed the card due to lack of offers and no use in the card, I could get a new one like a new customer immediately. I don't think it's that likely but I haven't applied to them again
