Do direct debits need to have been paid out before I can switch?

I set up a Monzo account to use as a burner account and I've set up 2 direct debits but the payments won't go out for another 4 weeks. Do I need to wait until these are paid out before I can switch to another account, or is it sufficient that they've been set up and are showing on my account?

As long as they're showing on your account you can switch.2

So long as they're active you should be fine, Nationwide paid my bonus as soon as I switched and I had the 2 DD on there - one was paid, then I moved it to the donor account and it wasn't taken again until after I had completed the switch to the new account and after the bonus was paid
