I've now got a tesco credit card. I wish to pay all my household bills on this, but can't find either the account number or sort code. Am I missing something stupid. Or do I pay the bills another way?

Are you saying that you’d like to set up direct debits on your Tesco credit card?If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

Credit cards do not have a sort code / account number. Some companies, but to be honest very few, allow regular bill payment by card and they will ask for the long card number, expiry date and often the CVV.

You need to setup direct debits from your bank account, you won't be able to pay your bills by card in that way, indeed, they might even treat it as cash and then charge you a fee/interest. Some will even specify you can't pay bills on cards. Some firms do allow CPAs or similar as a monthly sub - NOW TV do for example but you can't setup DDs from your card
