Don't understand Price Cap v New Charge

Don't have much confidence un british gas at the moment tbh.
Another phonecall, another fry my brain session.
On the new tariff above she started going on about because I pay by direct debit it's different.
Tbh she actually gave me 3 different prices. Said £314, then £330 and then finally £316, which I'm guessing they've decided that I mentioned £250 but that obviously includes the money I get refunded from government.
Scary to think as I've been very stingy with heating and electricity and yet she told me over a 6 monthly projection I'd be around £276 in debit, and that's just over a month since meter was read by someone. So £316 is the new charge until reassessed in Feb.
Tbh have not got a single clue what she was talking about the direct debit charge v new tariff that I had received (as posted above), didn't want to get into it, as she's just obviously working off a computer screen or what but basically said is there any point to these emails if they don't have any bearing on what I need to pay.
