You don't say how many years you have been working. If you have had 7 jobs in, say, five years then that is certainly excessive!n1guy said:Maybe I am just too fussy as an employee. I've had about 7 jobs in my life. 6 of them have been like the following, constantly hounded, when I say hounded I mean watched on Teamviewer, watched on camera, spend too long in toilet get called to office, that kind of hounding, but wages were decent, holidays etc all above board but there is just a constant pressure on you.
Seven jobs in 30 years might be very reasonable.
However, you are the only common denominator in this........1 -
Working since I was 16, I’m 42. Another fun fact this will be my third time being made redundantUndervalued said:

Do you receive only the statutory minimum for paid holiday? It's only illegal if you're not allowed to take the statutory minimum.n1guy said:Holidays last year, for example, I had 5 days left I couldn't take, I was given the option, pay for them or carry them over but I couldn't take them, Illegal yes but my coworkers like this, bit of extra money for Christmas, this year is going a similar route, there little things that just tells me this is a bad employer,
And if you WANT to take these days, have you tried booking them, and if that's refused, asking when you WILL be able to take them?
If you wanted to take this further, I believe you'd go to the Labour Relations Agency in NI. https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/contacts/labour-relations-agencySignature removed for peace of mind1 -
I can assure you that plenty of people have extremely well-paid jobs where nobody is bothered if they sometimes stand around and chat. In fact, I would say that it is mainly jobs on the lower end of the pay spectrum where people are not allowed to do this.74jax said:Tbf that sounds a nmw job, I wouldn't expect to be paid any higher if you were able to stand around and chat3 -
Exactly, I’ve never experienced this before, probably why I’ve stuck around here so long.Ath_Wat said:
