The lorry drivers are certainly finding your driving inconsiderate and google tells me:'Under section 3 Road Traffic Act 1988 (“RTA 1988”) it is an offence to drive a motor vehicle on a road or public place ... without reasonable consideration for other persons using the road ...'
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

In Germany when you are towing a caravan you are limited to 80km/h (50mph). During certain hours lorries are not allowed to overtake. So I often have a 10 mile tailback of lorries. Never seen any bad behaviour from them.0

Oh the joys of a vehicle restricted to 56mph, 20 ton of pallets on the back, a very restricted delivery window and a car doing 52mph in the way... I dont miss that
oh, and the boss asking where you are every 15 minutes2 -

Driving at 55 on a motorway wouldn't be considered an offence. Driving 30 might be depending on the circumstance. It's just a little slow and slightly annoying.theoretica said:The lorry drivers are certainly finding your driving inconsiderate and google tells me:'Under section 3 Road Traffic Act 1988 (“RTA 1988”) it is an offence to drive a motor vehicle on a road or public place ... without reasonable consideration for other persons using the road ...'0 -
There are exceptions / exemptions depending on the weight of the towing vehicle and the trailer / caravan.Ibrahim5 said:In Germany when you are towing a caravan you are limited to 80km/h (50mph). Unless you have a very small car and a very big trailer /caravan the speed limit is quite likely to be 100km/h

When I was doing outdoor pursuits and towing a trailer loaded with Canoes and such getting behind an HGV doing a steady 56mph was a hell of a lot easier than fighting traffic in Lane 2 - As long as I kept up with him there were no problems, I also arrived at the event whatever less stressed out.1

When I took a driving holiday in the US I found that sitting behind a lorry truck was a good way of ensuring you were to the (55) speed limit.

Try getting behind a truck. If you have traffic aware cruise control it's quite easy.
As well as lower speed, you will benefit from slipstreaming from the truck.0
