APCOA FINE

hi I have received 2 pay now debt recovery letters from Apcoa about paying a Heathrow short stay fine. I have proof that I paid for the drop off. I’m not sure what to do whether to pay the £150 or ignore as I have not had any PCNs come through to me? They have said if I don’t answer soon they will be taking me to court. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Ignore them. APCOA won't take you to court and DRP can't. Simple. No further advice needed. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

It is not a fine.
Debt collectors are powerless and can safely be ignored.
APCOA cannot hold a vehicle keeper liable.
Did you appeal the initial charges?
If so, did you reveal the driver's identity?
Either way, ignore APCOA unless you get a letter before/of claim.

Haven’t appealed / replied to either letter as of yet.0

Is this for not paying £5 in the drop off zone?
Did you not get any PCN in the post and this is now months later, or what?
Is your car logbook showing the right address or have you forgotten to update it (separate to updating driving licence) when you moved?
See if you can still appeal as registered keeper NOT DRIVER online. There's an APCOA thread from 2 days ago with bespoke wording about the POFA.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I did pay the fine but only thing I can think is the people that collected my car took longer then ten minutes to leave the car park? My log book was not updated but have changed it now.Thank you I will have a look - do I just email them with the writing to appeal?0

I hope you didn't "pay the fine" because there isn't a fine to pay.
Hopefully you mean you paid the £5 charge.
If you can appeal online using APCOA's appeal portal, then do so using the template in blue text you will find in the NEWBIES Announcement.
If you can't appeal online, you could try an email appeal, or appeal by post instead, still using the template in blue text.
Whatever you do, do not reveal the driver's identity but instead add a one liner to the template that the NTK is non-PoFA compliant and therefore incapable of holding the keeper liable, so they should cancel the charge now to save themselves money.I married my cousin. This is one of the simplest to win as long as you don't imply who arrived and stopped the car.
Easy peasy! 100% win.
Impossible for the keeper to lose. Already written in an APCOA thread this week. Go looking!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Still struggling - saying I can’t have access to the appeal portal as it’s now at debt recovery. I think my only way now is to post a letter0
