Chase - current 'Trouble with transactions' issue

Options
"You won't see transactions in your activity right now. Payments are being held in a queue..."

Are other Chase customers seeing the same message in the app ?

I needed to transfer a 4-figure sum from my Chase Saver to the current account tonight in order to use the debit card to make a big purchase at a local store and get a decent amount of cashback before it closes tonight, but I'm not now able to do so. I made the transfer from one account to the other about 20 minutes ago and it's still not showing.

I've not had any issues with Chase up until now, but this is disappointing.

I'm sure the OP has an alternative payment method, but missing out on the Chase cashback would be very disappointing.

Faster Payments issue. Looking at their status page, they have also now admitted to an issue with IPhone 14s. I had that very issue this morning and it was a right pain. Lost access to my accounts because of their stupid 1 device only rule. Starting to think that Chase are pretty useless and I’ve stopped relying on them for anything important.

They don't seem to have taken on board feedback about giving regular updates when working on issues that prevent people from using their accounts, even if there's no tangible progress to report.

Used to work for another Bank in IT so I understand Faster Payments. Pretty poor that they are having issues this prolonged today. I’ve got an inward payment still not credited since 15:39 so they must be in stand-in mode. No idea on the state of their outward payments and not going to try one. Suspect they are having some sort of big issue. Not good.

As per OP, it is even affecting internal transfers.

Yes, I don't have all my savings with Chase - it was just the cashback I ideally wanted, with it being a big purchase.

My internal transfer took around 2 hours for them to process.

Has the issue stopped people being able to use their Chase cards at the moment or are payments being accepted but just taking a while to show in the app ?

According to the Chase problem report page, card payments were apparently still going through without problems, for those who had money in their current account.

    EDIT:
Though some people experienced differently: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/79488671/#Comment_79488671

In my normal unplanned way I had moved £100 to cover the purchase of a pair a shoes before I entered the shop at about 6pm, actually chose 2 which was just under the £100 but added 6 pairs of socks so was now short at the till tried to check the balance the £100 was not in my current account couldn’t really see what was happening, maybe I had transferred it out by mistake, moved another £120. Tried Apple Pay (don’t carry the Chase debit card) transaction declined. Paid with credit card. £220 now showing in Chase current account.
