in Credit cards
Hi all,
Received new Clarity card couple days ago.
Anyone know if the period between having card and first payment is based on the date card is activated, or date of first spend ?
I have held off activating it so far, but i understand if i leave it too long before activating, Halifax might assume its gone missing in post and then cancel card ?
I plan on using it just for spend abroad as i collect nectar points & virgin points with my other cards, but they are no good for spend abroad....
Thanks

Most likely from the date the account is opened.Life in the slow lane1

As an example, my account was
22nd of the month - application successful. account opened
12th of following month - statement produced
6th of the month after that - minimum payment due
Not sure if that helps.1 -
Has it given you the option to set up a Direct Debit for your payments and choose the date for that? That would then determine the date on which the statement is produced.
