Pre paid electric meter stopped working

I went to top up my pre paid electric meter in march and noticed the meter was blank no readings on amount or anything, rang EDF they said power surge in area, so they would replace it, thought i would run out of credit so called them back busy, so was told to use whatsapp, they said it will not cut off, here we are in September and still no new meter, keep messaging them and telling them about meter, i even placed a complaint, how can they charge me any electric when they don't know how much i have used since March, they keep saying we are a ware of the issue and will replace meter when they get one, am I doing the right thing to keep chasing them ???

Thousands of meters out there with blank screens.
They get reported to suppliers constantly but they never rush to replace them.
You have done all you canEnjoy the free electricity.
Don't think there is any way they will be able to tell how much you have used1 -
Good advice too from imeach but from the date you have notified them they can charge you estimated normal historic usage.
