Hello
Im hoping someone can assist. I have won many parking fines in the past thanks to the help of you guys.
Ive recently had a parking charge which I appealed not giving any details of the driver.
The carpark in question was £2.50 for 3 hour stay- I had stayed 2 hours so did not exceed however it seems I had only paid £2.00 fee (in coins), and it seems the additional required 50p I had wasn't accepted by the machine which is why i received the ticket.
Ive stated that the machines were faulty and no other method of payment available i.e card,
other cash. I have attached evidence of a passenger confirming this.
In my appeal i stated that the driver had attempted to make full payment but was unable to due to machines faults out of our control.
They have now asked me to identify the driver, which im 50/50 on. I know these things can be pretty time consuming.
Would anybody be able to advise on the best way to go about this?
Any input would be well appreciated.
Many thanks
Melissa

Delete the image from your first post! It contains personal information that some unscrupulous person could use to send a disastrous appeal to PE on your behalf.
You should also delete the information about who drove. That plus your PCN reference tells PE who was driving!
PPCs monitor this site.
If PE are asking the keeper to identify the driver, then the NTK is probably not PoFA compliant. You need to check and see if you have a "golden ticket"
You should also complain to the BPA that PE have said you "should" tell them the driver's name. The PoFA says no such thing. They may invite the keeper to name the driver, but there is no obligation to do so, nor any law requireing you to comply.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

My apologies!
Thankyou.
I have checked and can see a paragraph for Protection of Freedoms act on the initial NtK. would you happen to have the link regarding the golden ticket thread?

Please see attached - this wouldn't be a golden ticket would it?

Nope. You can compare it with the image in the third post of the NEWBIES thread.
You don't need a link to that thread because
(a) links don't help new posters hop around the forum & get confident in finding info;
And
(b) your link back to page one (where all the 'Announcement' advice threads stay pinned at the top) is at the top of every page, even on a phone. My signature (below) tells all posters where the link back is.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

If PE reference the Protection of Freedoms Act in its NtK, it's highly likely that the NtK is PoFA-compliant, PE are administratively pretty efficient. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
