BT's Social Tariff

My contract with BT is ending 16/11 and that's 50Mb at £31.95 with the price staying as it is now. For an extra £8.04 they were offering 150Mb
However, having looked at advice here I feel I might qualify for their social tariff (guarantee element of pension credit). There are two offers on the table 36Mb plus 700 minutes at £15/mth. Or their 67Mb deal, unlimited calls at £20/mth. I'd opt for the 67Mb, the minutes are of no real interest to me. That's 17Mb more for £11.95 less!!!
How/when soon should I contact them about this, it does seem a good offer?
Been single I'm the only one using broadband, I don't game, I just have terrestrial tv, and really the only thing I use my broadband is for the like of Amazon Prime, iPlayer, YouTube, emails and forums such as these..

Do you know what speed you are actually getting at the moment? You can use the MyBT app to check (it will also tell you what your minimum guaranteed speed is). If it is close to the lower speed offered on the Social tariff and you are happy with the performance then go for that one.
Well worth enquiring about switching to new tariff as soon as.0
