Window dressing

Hi everyone,
Currently going through quite a major refurb in my house. Pretty much everything has been or will be changed. Just installed a load of new upvc windows myself to keep costs down. However, the roller blinds that were there are quite battered and in some cases have mould (from previous owners). I’ve priced up new blinds for the house at one of the main online manufacturers and it comes just short of £1,000. As I’m getting closer to the end of the refurb, money is starting to get quite tight.

Does anyone have any recommendations about how to save money on this? We are looking to sell once finished so would like to appeal to most audiences. Rooms are white walls, grey flooring (carpet or laminate).
Happy to put work in to save a lot of money.
I’ve got one bow window with 4 panes, 2 windows that are over 2m in width and then the rest is an assortment of smaller ones (widest being 1.45m). Thinking downstairs will be maybe slatted ones and upstairs day and night?
Thanks

Have you tried local suppliers? Do any have offers on such as 4 blinds for £100 etc?“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

To be honest I assumed local independents would be more expensive. Have you found that not to be the case? £100 wouldn’t get me one set for the larger windows online.davemorton said:Have you tried local suppliers? Do any have offers on such as 4 blinds for £100 etc?0 -
Ikea is your friend!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I've bought from companies like this one:
https://www.makemyblinds.co.uk/
You can get an instant quote for your sizes and order free samples of the fabric. You have to fit them yourself but I had no problems with the quality of the blinds1 -
I bought a load of vertical blinds from www.blinds-2go.co.uk for our house. Cheap as chips and look great !0

I had thought of suggesting Ikea but iirc the max that they do (for rollers at least) is 2m?0 -
Yeah seems to be the case unfortunately. Might get them for the smaller windows from there though.BUFF said:Doozergirl said:Ikea is your friend!
