My duaghter has become very hard to buy for since starting work , I want to say a really big thakyou for all the hep she has iven me and the understanding she has sown during thelast wo eas but an't find anything suitable.
I have a budget of upto about £70( but could grow a bit) and we have already bought her a mp3 player and put togtehr a dvd hamper for her amongst other little bits .
I was going to blow the budget and order her some ugg boots but my card won' work for overseas transactions , have thought about a new mobile but all the ones she likes are hugely over budget so she can buy that for herself next month.
The trouble is she had her first pay packet last month and went and bought alost everything I was planning to get her for christmas so this one relly has to come from my ( or your ) imagnation and I am struggling .
any Ideas ?

A special piece of jewelery would be my bet two, something special that she'd love but that would be unique between you and her - maybe a different cut to what she wears, or a special pendant - your birthstones together maybe?0

What about a lovely framed photo of you both and write on it how much you love her....The special things in life don't need to be expensive.
Also, for buying her bits and bobs and as young girls love the latest trends, what about buying her a set of Juicy Tubes from the Superdrug website. rrp £40, there its £16.00.0 -
I just submitted a reply and it disappeared! I'll start again.
ASOS.com voucher have the same/similar fashion items to celebrity fashion
Net-a-Porter.com would have small items that might interest her.
Similarly Topshop.com or if you're near to London, you could visit the flagship store together, it's got loads more choice than all the other stores. There's also a fast hairdressing service performed by Daniel Hersheson employees (much cheaper than the salon up the road in Conduit St) Many of them have worked backstage at the fashion shows. There are a few places around there where you can get a luxurious and good value afternoon tea.
For makeup, you can't beat HQhair, great variety of cosmetics and bodycare.
If she'd like to do something original with friends and you're near Manchester or London, there's Lucky Voice Private Karoke. You get your own soundproofed room with your own waitress providing food and drinks. Huge amount of fun. Before Christmas, it would cost about £60, after it would be a lot less more like £30-£40
I have loads more ideas if this is along the right lines. What are her interests?0 -
I love the idea of the Lush goodies , I was going to get some for her stocking she is a lush addict but doesn't have a huge stash and is always borrowing mine.
as for jewellery he is really into fashion jewellery and has lots of it and I'm not sure would appreciate ( or look after) anything more expensive.
I'm really looking for one big gift , the younger 2 have psp's but i don;t want to spend that much on DD because she hasn't been put through as much as they have to fulfill my dreams.
we are in bristol but can get to london easily and cheaply enough ( bargain £5 day return on the train due to DH's work) and have very good freinds there if we need to stay over. but we are having going through a bit of a rough patch in our relationship atm ( just the whole nearly an adult thing)so i'm not sure the two of us spending too much time toether would be a great idea .
her interests well she is obsessed with learning to drive , clothes , music movies. I guess its all the normal girly stuff LOLI am journeying to a debt-free life.

Sorry to read that you're going through a rough patch. I remember being 17 years old only too well LOL. So much going on all at once and I had too much pride to admit to anyone how I really felt about ANYTHING! Most teenagers would like to have someone else paying for them for a day, on one crucial condition.... that you don't offer any opinion on anything, at all! Particularly if it's sensible! Just smile sweetly for a few hours and let her know how special she is. It's not easy being a teenage girl in this media obsessed world where size zero and airbrushing reign supreme.0

A designer wallet? My mother bought me a Chanel wallet after I finished my university exams and I was really touched. She got it on ebay too, so wasn't as expensive as in the shops I think.0

what about a personal organiser either a little palm; or if she writes stuff down, Filofax do a nice pink one in aid of the breast cancer appeal. Nice and not to pricey but as she has started work she might like it.0
