Prepayment meters

Hi, my husband and I are due to move end September/Oct and we have prepayment meters.  If the energy payment vouchers are given out during our move does that mean we lose out and have to leave them for the new owners?

Our can w get it transferred to our new place which probably won’t have meters.

Thanks

  • Hi,
who is your supplier, there are different rules?
  • If you are moving to a house that does not have prepayment meters won't you get the £67 a month payments so therefore at worst will lose a month if your timing is bad?

Then as things stand right now, you do not qualify for the vouchers once you have moved and at most you might get sent the one for October if you are still there at that point.
There is supposed to be an alternative fund you can access once you are in your Park Home, but no details on that yet.

Note that MWT's answer above assumes you're on the sort of park home site where you buy your energy from the site operator, rather than having your own account with an energy cupplier.
If you *do* have an account with a supplier, you should still get the credit or vouchers.

That should be fine then, but do get your account set up with the existing supplier ASAP upon taking possession, don't wait until you actually move in if there is a gap.
