Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner was HM spag bol, put on to cook steadily once I got in from work, and hairdresser was here. Tonight may be LO's.
Half day at work today.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Lovely weather yesterday, I washed a couple of throws from the living room when I got home yesterday and they dried in no time. Today is dry but I don't think it's to be sunny. Can't put any washing out as I think the chap is coming to spray the insulation today and the washing line is in the way.
I blitzed the living room and hall yesterday, all clean and tidy. There was a mahoosive spider behind the hall curtains that did a runner but I managed to wrestle it outside. I evicted it's pal last week - it was stopping me from going upstairs!
Still feeling ropey but the tests are coming back negative so I'll battle on!
Your days sound great Ruby, I think I'll come to yours!
Hope Mum and baby are doing well Bella.
Hugs to anyone in need.
Take care. XX8 -
Afternoon / morning all.I'm at Brisbane Airport unfeasibly early! My SIL thought that the drive was four hours each way 😀 so we did a detour via the big blue shed. I sat in the cafe as she did her shopping. I'm happy to say that she bought four octopuses for little socks. My flight isn't for another four hours, I want to make the most of the lounge and let my SIL get home at a reasonable hour. The motorway back looks jammed so she's searching for the alternative route though it may well be a four hour journey for her. It's been a proper Australian spring day here though the temperature is rising, it would be unbearable in three weeks time. All good things come to an end, and this has been a good thing. 🦘✈️I hope that everyone is doing well, I'll catch up properly when home. Happy Wednesday to all. 🙋♀️9

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's not a bad morning here, dry anyway, yesterday was a nice day and I got some washing dry.I wasn't as brave as you regarding wildlife Camelot, all I did was to catch a wasp in a tissue and pop it out of the window.I had a vision of a huge spider straddling your staircase waving a menacing leg if you tried to go up..Glad your test was negative anyway.Gers will probably have started her long journey home, hope it's uneventful Gers, if your're reading this.Bella, hope your new arrival and Mum are all right.Nowt much on the agenda today, just pottering, though I want to tidy the garden. I thought I'd plant a winter basket and some troughs for the backyard after it's scrubbed. It's a bit bleak in the winter on the north facing front of our house, but the backyard is sheltered, so I'll work out what I need.Hope everyone has a good day - take care folks.10

Haha Scarlet, that's what it was like! One of the huge spiders with hairy legs and googly eyes!9

Morning folks and thanks NMLC.
I am back with you after my little jaunt. Sadly not as newsworthy as GERS's trip has been! The weather was rather rubbishy most of the time so lots of reading was done, with an eye of all the sad events marking the Queen's long reign. I was 7 when she was crowned and I remember vaguely our street party and watching the ceremony crammed in the only house in the lane with a tv. There will never be another like her that's for sure.
I got my unpacking and washing done last night, How did I accumulate so much washing in a week! Of course most of it was bedding, towels and tea towels. And the mention of tea towels reminds me how much I missed the dishwasher! I seemed to be forever washing up despite being there on my own! I think Sparkle has now earned her stripes as a "Caravan Cat" as no more hiding under the beds and jumping at the least noise.
It's bus trip day today and for a change it's all three of us. No doubt Skipton again and it will probably be a bit quieter today with the schools back and less coach trips descending. Hopefully a nice wine ';n dine lunch will be enjoyed.
I have done a speed read of what I have missed but apologies for anything I missed or forgot! Congratulations to the BELLA family on the safe arrival of a new baby. NELS dare I say it you sound to be on the last lap of house clearing. Happy Anniversary to the ROSY's. CAMELOT hope you soon feel better. IZZY it sounds as though you are nearly there with your kitchen. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies or fed up. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning all; looks like a dry day outside so far.
Another busy day for me today, starting with my stint at the Community Larder and then DD has tasked me with finding 5 nice matching carrier bags for things for the bridesmaids then filling 72 fabric bags with dried rose petal confetti.
We also have another load of rubbish for the tip and need to do the ironing from Monday's washing. The extra freezer in the garage was switched on last night so that DH can buy ice for keeping drinks cool next weekend plus I need to stock up on meat from Costco.
I've treated us to a 3 hour house clean this afternoon so need to be home for that but I would like to watch the procession from Buckingham Palace so might need to juggle things about a bit.
Safe travels home Gers and hope everyone has a good day.9 -
Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
I didn't get on yesterday as was in the office - we had a massive power outtage (whole of Whitehall apparently) so were working by emergency lighting for part of the afternoon. One colleague was in the lift at the time which plummeted from floor 4 to 1! Roads and pavements around the office are bonkers busy and crowd control is already in place. I won't be going in again until next Tuesday or Wednesday, so will hopefully miss the worst of the busyness.
Congratulations to @bellabella on the safe arrival of Matthew xx
Safe journey home @Gers x
Welcome back @TravellingAbuela. Glad you had a nice break and enjoy the lunch with your buddies x
Well done @camelot1001 - a braver soul than me - I loathe spiders!!
Happy anniversary to the @RosyRed's x
We have finished decorating the hallway so I'm going to tidy up today and hoover through (didn't think I should do it at 10pm last night!). No DIY tonight but a mahoosive ironing pile to get stuck in to. DS2 off to uni on Sunday and this will likely be the last time his stuff is ironed for a while lol!
Dinner tonight is SW sweet chilli chicken with rice and veg, with a birthday chocolate for pudding!
Have a good day everyone, and hugs to the poorlies or sad xx

Morning all The weather is dull and wet so washing will have to go on the heated airer . I took DH to see the baby last night and he adored him sat holding him for the 2 hours we were there ,the journey home was awful and took twice as long as it should so by the time we got home it was 9pm still it was worth it . Hopefully mum and baby will be going home today i think DD2 has had enough she has been in hospital for just under 2 weeks now he is sleeping well she managed a solid 5 hours last night which was good . Cleaning and tidying for me today other than that back to normal life
Gers Safe travels home

Safe journey home Gers
I'm awake and up much earlier than of late. DH is snoring away in the land of nod so I will leave hime for a bit
Since DGC went home we have been decidedly lazy on the getting up front although a friend did say to me the other day that it is allowed if you are semi/ retired, after so many years of 4 o'clock starts it feels strange !
Weather miserable here as was yesterday but I have plenty to keep me occupied now we are getting valuations for the house this week and next
I want to do a load of batch cooking today and make a banana bread today as well as some more sorting and hopefully a tip run tomorrow
Have a good day all hugs to those who want them

Morning all
Pouring with rain here and set in for the day I think, only one client today as the other is still in Aus he has gone away for a month and is due back towards the end of sept. Yesterday we had a lovely day we managed to get out for a good walk and then home in time for lunch then one of the clients likes to 'read his paper' which means he has a sleepand the other and I painted out salt dough and did some stratch art before I took them home, we all really enjoyed it, Camelot come on down always room for one more !
Todays client is not so easy to entertain, he will happily make a cake or some cookies but he wont settle to any crafts or anything like that, and as its raining heavily we cant go out. I will have to think of some other way to entartain him, he wont watch a film either which would be a good way to spend a couple of hours.
Hot dogs for dinner tonight, not my favourite but they need using up, will do some wedges and fried onions with them.
Bella congratulations to you all, lovely name xxx
Gers safe travels xx
TA welcome back xx
Have good days all xxx9
