Has anyone tried to get money back for a product that was not as described? we bought a printer that broke after 3 weeks.... too long?

Where I work we get up to £30 to spend on a meal (just have to put the receipt in), but I've worked for companies where everyone got a turkey (pre organised so we knew we were getting it and didn't have any vegetarians or vegans) Company before that we used to get a bottle of wine. I think anything is appreciated.0
