Letters from GCTT

Hello. Newbie hear so apologies if this has been previously covered. 

In September 2016 I failed to pay the tolls on Italian motorways twice. I was unaware you had to. I did receive penalty letters from Italy but ignored them. Since we left the EU I have started receiving letters from GCTT. Each time with an increase in the amount due. Today I received two letters with “NOTICE OF TRANSFER TO SOLICITORS” in bold red writing with another option to pay. The solicitors will be QDR. I rang GCTT (no answer) but while I was waiting googled them and found a lot of info. But some of it conflicting. Any help as to what I should do next please?

    Unsure why GCTT think a UK legal can help

    As said, ignore them, if you start getting letters from QDR .. FEEL SORRY FOR THEM AS IT'S THEIR MONEY THEY ARE WASTING
