Afternoon / morning all. It's nearly 3pm on a gloriously hot and sunny day. ☀️Now I'm the last visitor standing. SIL's cousin and partner left after breakfast. The two Melbourne friends care still holed up in Noosa Heads and hoping to make their flight back from the Sunshine Coast.Last night we had another meal out, just five people this time. I'll be happy to not eat out for a long time when I get home. 😀My SIL and I had a rather lacklustre lunch at a German Bakehouse in Cooroy, it was a haven for pies, sausage rolls and filled white rolls. Very disappointing. However, for my final evening meal we have some delicious looking beef from the Japanese cows. Wagyu?
Tomorrow it's the long drive down to Brisbane to check in at around 5pm. For now I have to pack the main suitcase.I hope that everyone is doing well, happy Tuesday to all. 🦘🦘9 -
Morning All
Hope you've had the best time Gers and have a safe and uneventful journey home.
It's the little one's 3rd birthday today, they are on holiday and going to Alton Towers today to hopefully see Dougie, the little one's favourite after Bluey!
Fairly bright this morning, I've had a terrible night with a sore throat and cough. Going to do a test in a minute but loads of folk have a cold so it's probably that.
Must do some deep cleaning tonight, I have visitors all next week so really should make an effort! The washing is up to date so that's a start.
Hope you're all well and have a good day. Take care. XX9 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC, hope you have a good day at work.Gers, happy packing, it's bittersweet leaving relatives when they're that far away isn't it.Sorry to hear that you're not well Camelot, fingers crossed it's not the dreaded lurgy..Hope the little one enjoys Alton Towers.Yesterday was an ok day, not much happened, just general house stuff. I used the dehumidfier on a laundry setting to dry some thin washing, it worked out pretty well. I know it's still using electricity and takes longer than the TD, but I think it's better for the clothes.Today will be more of the same, and we'll go to the quiz tonight.Hope everyone has a good Tuesday, take care folks.10

Morning all.
For some reason I'm up early after our trip away to Swanage. Have hung out the final load of washing and had an early breakfast, which means I'll have to keep away from any pre lunch nibbles!
We had a lovely weekend, staying with friends for the Folk Festival, but am now back in the usual routine. DGS is still waiting to hear if his pre school days have been rearranged so, for now, I'm collecting him at lunchtime and looking after him this afternoon. I also need to get some food shopping as we ate all the fresh food before going away and have no fruit or veg in the house.
Am sure I'll flag later on because of the early start
Have a good day.10 -
Morning all
Its a bit blustery here and quite chilly, very autumnal morning ! Rain is due later so I will get the clients out for a walk this morning and then we can paint the salt dough decorations we made last week, if there is time we could watch a film this afternoon.
Breakfast for dinner tonight egg bacon etc I need to get some mushrooms later to have with it. Ive put a wash load in the wm but it will have to go on the airer today.
Gers safe travells home xxx
Camelot Happy Birthday to little one, I cant believe she is 3 already ! xx
Have good days all xxx8 -
Morning everyone
Another early start on my day off, took ds2 to work as his bike is off the road. The pupster has been walked - 3 miles this morning. Took a small rucksack with me and collected some more crab apples to make jelly with. That will be this afternoon’s job.
I am trying to be ruthless and get rid of clothes that are in the wardrobe and know I won’t wear again.
dinner last night was meatballs with spaghetti and a home made tomato & courgette sauce. I googled for a recipe and it was delicious - although I bought the meatballs.
Gers - safe travels
Camelot - happy birthday to DGD
Redruby - sounds like a fun day, hope the clients enjoy painting the saltdough.
Bella - hope your dd is ok.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.9 -
Morning everyone
I don't start work till lunchtime today - got a few jobs to do this morning before I go. Had a nice chat with eldest DD this morning - shes loving Bali and climbed up a volcano at 1am to watch the sunrise...beautiful photos. It's very strange her being 7 hours ahead!
Little kitten is having a great time watching the washing spin - she dives up at the door then runs round downstairs and dives again...it's the first time she's taken any notice of it.
Camelot Happy Birthday to your little one - hope she has a great time. Sorry to hear you're not feeling well.
Gers - I'm going to miss your stories from Australia with my breakfast - safe journey home x
I better move and hang this bedding out - hope everyone has a good day today x8 -
Morning all, it's a lovely fine morning but a nip in the air!Gers safe journey home.Camelot 3 already! Hope you feel better soon. It's our wedding anniversary today, celebrating 47 yearsNo special plans as DH is still busy pricing a job up, a big extension on a bungalow & the couple would like the price asap. It takes days to do & lots of ringing round for prices which keep going up by the day it seems
Could do with getting it as we still have to pay DS2 even though no money coming in now, and some of the jobs seem to have been put on hold or haven't even got back to us to say they don't want it doing. It reminds me of 2008
all over again
DS2 has just called to swap the car for the van, a friend of his wants a step doing, so he needs the tools. He has been finishing jobs on his own house, he's only been in it 2 years, fiddly little bits like a towel rail, and a light fitting in his bedroom that he never got round to doing.
We may be on call to pick DGS up from school, so I've taken a steak and stilton pie out for our celebration tea. I haven't made it myself but it came from the food festival last month. When we picked him up last Friday, it took 2 hours after getting him due to gridlocked traffic after an accident so it was ages before we ate! At least the pie will be quick when we get back. Might make an apple crumble as I have some Bramleys too.Right, better get on, have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
