  • You will both get a £150 CoL payment if you were both claiming on or before 25th May 2022

    Yes

    Eligibility

You must have received a payment (or later receive a payment) of one of these qualifying benefits for 25 May 2022 to get the payment.

If you get a qualifying disability benefit from the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and a qualifying disability benefit from DWP, you will get a Disability Cost of Living Payment from DWP only.

If you receive a Disability Cost of Living Payment, but we later find that you were not eligible for it, you may have to pay it back.

    When you’ll get paid

You’ll be paid the £150 Disability Cost of Living Payment automatically from 20 September 2022. Most people will receive their payment by the beginning of October 2022.

  • It's grossly unfair that disabled pensioners on IIDB (Industrial injury disablement benefit) will not be eligible to receive the £150 payment. I have contacted DWP to confirm this and taken the matter up with my MP and awaiting reply. I receive no other benefits other than my state pension. I only wish Martin would look into this. I understand it is not a means tested payment.
  • Still haven't received mine, I have been on PIP for about 3 years now.

I can't make sense on what the government is saying when they mention this...

"You must have received a payment (or later receive a payment) of one of these qualifying benefits for 25 May 2022 to get the payment"

Does that mean that you had to be paid on the 25th May or does it mean if you were paid before it, then you are eligible?

I was paid my PIP the day before on the 24th May.

Can someone confirm if I am eligible for the £150 payment as I can't make sense on what GOV UK is saying. Thanks!

As I understand it, that means you receive a payment for a period which includes the 25th May.  Presumably your next payment after the 24th will have been 4 weeks later, covering the period 25th May - 22nd June, so yes you'd be eligible.

It says payments will be made from 20th September. There will be lots of people who still haven't received it, my daughter and myself are one of them.

You will still receive your usual winter fuel payment, as well as £300 on top.

Yes, I am on PIP and income support and haven't received either the £150 nor the second £326 to date.  Its only been 2 days since it could have been paid (up until October I gather).

Even my older son's ESA which normally comes in directly after midnight on a Wednesday every two weeks wasn't paid until 10am this morning.  Which was worrying as both of us are a bit low financially for the first time in decades lol.

    Just keeping everything crossed.

To make matters worse, I was confused by different things on the net on how to confirm my younger son's (he is 16) return to education and lost Tax credits/CA for him.  I did it all correctly last week (took a lot of hunting to find out how) but at least another week until that's straightened out.  Nail biting time.

The £150 disability payment can be paid anytime from 20th, which was yesterday. The second CoL payment is £324 and is paid sometime this Autumn but no dates have been confirmed yet so no one has received this payment.

The late ESA payment was because of the short notice bank holiday announced for the Queens funeral, so payments are being made manually yesterday and today.

It's not unusual for tax credits to stop on 31st August when a child reaches 16, it happened to me 3 times with my children when they were this age.
Why did you lose the carers allowance for him? This has nothing to do with him reaching 16.
