I don't think we disagree. I read it they get back £66 or if their repayment plan is less than that what they've paid with the balance being applied to their energy account just as it would with customers not in debt.MWT said:
Unless you've got a link to something specific on that point, the fact that the OP is already on a payment plan should just mean that the £66 is deducted from the total payments and returned to the them, it shouldn't mean that a portion of the £66 is used to increase payments to the already agreed plan...isasmurf said:The government policy for this support scheme for households with large arrears are that they should be moved onto a payment plan (which the OP is on) so that only an amount of the rebate that is affordable to the customer should be used against debt. Thanks for the additional information, yes we do seem to be in agreement.Either the agreed monthly DD covering both current use and debt is reduced by £66, or the DD remains the same and the £66 is refunded to the customer. What should not happen is that the DD remains the same and the £66 is used to reduce the debt in addition to the agreed payment plan.Always recognising that the DD may be going up to account for the revised cap from October of course...0 -
Macman my debt is presently over £400. It is £600 on both gas and electric. I am on a payment plan which means I presently pay £196 pm for gas/elec (£70 electric/£126 gas) which includes £10pm to each of the debts and £60/£116 usage accordingly.0

Then you should expect that to be adjusted down to £130 for the 6 months from October onwards, or to stay the same and receive a £66 rebate each month after you pay.bjthebear said:I presently pay £196 pm for gas/elec (£70 electric/£126 gas) which includes £10pm to each of the debts and £60/£116 usage accordingly.
