  • Next time pay your debts and learn from this, but I think you will be back down the same road a few years from now.
As harsh as that sounds it makes total sense I was the same assuming it’s a race to credit worthiness for no reason what so ever but to increase your debt over pointless purchases so keep doing  what your doing pay off your debts pay on time and save save save for me the old me would of ordered a iPhone 14 pro max £1,300 but today my mate paid that stupid price and I brought his old iPhone 11 Pro Max that he’s had for 2 years for £150 slap a payg sim your away :)
    £2820/£4000 0% 24 months pay £150 HSBC
    £2,100/£3000 0% 27 months pay £150 M&S

    £2,200/£7250 0% 14 months pay £60  RBS
    £990/£2000 28% Zable closed  £60

  • Ultimately we want to buy a home

i doubt we’d even get considered for a mortgage yet with the ccjs especially as one isn’t paid.

our phones are on relatively cheap contracts, our credit usage is sensible for the last year or so.

im hoping that 3 ccjs, especially one being w large amount, when they drop, off will see a change

I think you'd be struggling to get a mortgage with 3 CCJs and defaults on your file.  Having said that, of course, a mortgage lender does at least have the option of simply repossessing the house if you don't keep up payments.

we’ve both got cars on finance which were in excess of £20000, both have 3 credit cards infact he has 4, poor aprs and low limits, both only used for fuel then paid in full. Lots of credit catalogues which are in use but paid routinely.

    we both have contract phones

i doubt we’d get a personal loan etc, and the Apr on  the car finance is high
This is going to sound harsh, please don't take offence.  But it sounds like you could well be living beyond your means.  There's no need for such expensive cars, and certainly not if you're having to finance them with high-interest loans.  Goods from catalogues are notoriously expensive, even if you're not paying interest on them.
You need to remember that there are always expenses associated with owning your own home - simple things like routine maintenance and repairs when things go wrong or get damaged (which they will) can rapidly eat into your budget.  It may be very prudent to start planning ahead so that, when you do get your own place, you're not struggling to keep up with the ongoing costs.
