Anyone out there help me out on this one:
DS playgroup Xmas play today and we duly went and took the camcorder like a good mummy and daddy we are.
Got home, beseiged with relatives and the little tike gets said camcorder and drops it in the the dogs water bowl.
I spot it, haul it out and leave it to dry out.
Any chance of the thing working again? It's stopped dripping water out of it now but when I put the battery in one bit got very very hot indeed. It's dead?
It's not really the camera I'm bothered about (well, I am but hey, we have insurance)- the film I took of his play is far more precious to me and I wondered since I didn't 'finalise' the disc - will it still work? It's one of those little DVD disc things.
Sorry for the lack of techinical language but its about as technical as I get.
Any comments/help would be useful. And no, DS will not be getting any pocket money now until he's at least 25!

As a general rule if you get any electronics wet you really need to wait a long time for them to dry out (several days at least normally) before you want to apply power again.
As for the disk, even if it's not finalised it is probably still readable on the PC with the right software and a DVDRW drive, although I'm afraid I don't know the full details (I've got a feeling the full version of nero might do it).0 -
