Even if a firestick/roku fails the cost of replacement is relatively cheap compared to a tvbigpat said:Good stuff, thanks everyone. I think I'll still get a new(ish) TV but get a non-smart one and get a stick. Firstly, the TV will be cheaper and there are a lot more good used ones out there. Secondly, it sounds more likely that a Firestick or Roku stick will get upgrades and even if that stops at some point, it should be cheaper to replace the stick than replace the TV.0
