How bad are these walls? 1930s

Hey all!

We are look at a 1930s semi detached. Our level 3 survey has come back and the largest area of concern is that of the external walls. I am by no means a structural engineer, and I may need to get one out to look at it, but I would appreciate any input from those who know better. I can negotiate with the vendor if large works are needed, but I'm trying to determine if it's worth the effort in the first place. Thanks!

There's a lot of work needed to get them looking half decent, so I suppose the cost depends on how much you are willing to DIY. Unfortunately most of the work done on the brickwork has been rough. Looks like next door has a bay window.

My concern is that the missing mortar seems to be in a wide verticle line. Why is that?
And patching replacement of bricks elsewhere. Why?
Then there's a pipe opening part way down below a horizontal line of newer bricks. Is that just a bathroom pipe exit or has one been installed to release flood water or to ventilate?

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
