    IMO, make a quick call to the supplier and concisely advise your next action if not resolved within 5 business days etc, ie writing to the ombudsman.  I hope that does the trick

    The OP will need to raise a complaint with the supplier and wait 8 weeks without resolution until the Ombudsman will accept the case. Where do you get 5 working days from?
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • The formal complaint should be in writing OP - absolutely pointless doing it by phone as you will want the paper trail for any future Ombudsman complaint.  Macman gives the actual timescale for escalating that complaint above. Email will be fine too, no need to waste a stamp!
