"Thank you for pointing this out. Please know that this was just us conducting testing on our website, this was a glitch and we haven't yet released the new unit rates and standing charges for So Flex in line with the new price cap"
"how do I budget when your prices are so up and down? Is the price today correct @ 27.35p a unit of electric? Last week it was 50p before that 27p again....I've not moved onto the plan yet but does it jump that up and down often?"

wwally said:Looks like a valid offer and acceptance of contract!Sounds like a unilateral mistake to me.
Unilateral mistake addresses misunderstandings between the parties that relate to the terms of the contract or the identity of the parties to the contract. It does not apply to mistakes about the facts known or assumed by the parties.
In unilateral mistake cases, only one party is mistaken: the other party knows about it and takes advantage of the error. So, it's not a mistake made by both parties to a contract.
In Hartog v Colin and Shields (1939) the seller had made a mistake as to the price of goods. It was held that the buyer must have realised the mistake. The contract was held to be void.

Do you reckon you could ask for the 4.2p per unit discount as well?0

I’ll take it to the energy ombudsman & give it a try! 😉😂[Deleted User] said:Do you reckon you could ask for the 4.2p per unit discount as well?0 -

i started this thread just to start a discussion reminiscing those wonderfully low rates that we took for granted & to lighten our mood during these sad days. Thank you for your replies and comments. It was also helpful to see the So Energy Twitter quote; I was pretty sure it was a glitch, but it would have been nice not to worry about the cost of energy for a while. Have a good weekend all.4

Nice to see someone not going after compensation for an obvious error.
Well done👍1
