2 year Energy Price Guarantee

So the new Energy Price Guarantee will last 2 years from 1st October 2022. Is any one on a fixed tariff that lasts past 30th September 2024. I know some providers use to offer 3Y fixes but not sure if that was still the case after the energy crisis hit last year.
If so what happens then, do they remain on the original fix rates?

We don't know, nothing so detailed has been published yet. It depends how the EPG is applied.wakeupalarm said:

My guess is that any 3Y fix would probably be on rates lower than the cap anyway, and that the fix would last until its original end date.0 -
Mostly likely outcome at the moment is that everyone stays on their current contracts until they expire, but there is a rebate or adjustment where the current contract is above the level of the Energy Price Guarantee...
