just been indefinitely suspended and I find their attitude appalling.
they basically don't give you a reason, won't discuss it and there's no right of appeal. If you send an e mail you get a pre prepared message telling you what you already know and when you discuss online they just end the conversation. As you have been suspended there is no call option either!

find it incredible that this is allowed in this day and age and now I'm completely in the dark.

I'm now supposed to wait 60-72 days for my funds without any form of explanation or appeal

I presume one of the banks -  which one ?

Have you got an account with a second bank you can use?

This is a bit of a stretch. All you need to do to get suspended is fail to supply ID, or supply it and change your mind if they start asking for more documents / photos. Having a balance owing to you on your account is a particular problem because you are then unable to delete the account even if you want to and would usually have a right to.

You are also lucky if you get your money back. Fortunately I only lost a small amount of money from the sale of a single item of clothing but I have heard of people losing a lot more.

Or of course the seller metrics were poor or seller was selling things on the VERO list or prohibited categories- there are so many reasons for a ban we cannot guess what has happened here.

However there is always some indication , OP have you had any warnings at all in the past, are you an established seller business or private with a near perfect dashboard. What  rating were you, above average or standard and had you been using managed payments successfully ? 

The email notifying you of suspension will give a clue, but it would help if we can narrow it down a bit.

Just to add, looking at other forums there has been a cull of sellers , mainly drop shippers or those with despatch delays , eBay do seem to do this periodically.
