New spate of fixed offers coming?

there are no details. I would expect the government will pay the energy suppliers the additional cost up the Ofgem price cap limit. Otherwise the suppliers may source energy from some pet project at the highest cost to pass on, such as shale gas.
I sure there will still be fixes, there is alot of profitability in these.
This "decoupling" talk seems to be a reinvention of price caps. We are turning communist.0 -
That's all well and good but where's this list of things you can do for £25k to turn your house into a passivhaus?jj_43 said:there are no details. You did say you would get back to me but you have probably lost that thread👍 Generally interested as for this money it appears to be a great solution for when this 2 year government deal comes to an end for a cheap energy house.0 -
Agree with Ultra, normal fixed deals will vanish, unless the wholesale rates drop below the EPG.
Trackers might stay as they not simple fixed deals.0 -
so will companies like OVO that give you a 5% interest discount on credit stop doing that as every one has no incentive to move if they are all flat rate?0
