Looks like they charged you that £961.50 based on a wrong meter reading, and then when it was corrected they just credited it back to you.1

i agree. maybe it was an estimated reading?
if in doubt you could always ask them (i find twitter direct messages best for this kind of question as you don't need an imidiate response and it's just checking something on the account not changing something)Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.0 -

On 14 Feb 2022, a meter reader visited and took the reading 1077.0
On 30 Mar 2022, they estimated a reading (the value is not shown on your screenshot) and charged you £145.28
On 31 Mar 2022, you gave them a reading of 1831.0 They replaced their estimated reading with the one you gave them, refunded you the £145.28 and charged you £961.50
On 1 Apr 2022, they used a different reading (perhaps because they thought your reading could not be true on review) but the value and source of this reading is not shown in the information you have given us. This triggered them to charge you £108.72 (the new 'corrected' amount) and refund the incorrect payment of £961.50, which was processed the next day.
So your gas bill from 28 Feb to 1 Apr inclusive was £108.722
