Section 75 Query

in Credit cards
Hello, can anybody advise?
If I have excess credit on my credit card due to a refund of (£3000) and I make a purchase on something, would that purchase be protected under Section 75?
As I would be purchasing something with my own money (excess credit) instead of borrowing from the credit card I'm confused.
Thank you

Best bet get credit transferred to bank account. Should be free given it was a credit. Then buy item & use the money to pay it off.
Not worth the risk.Life in the slow lane1
